Kate is the coordinator of the Peer Education Expansion Program (PEEP) through Montana Team Nutrition. Through PEEP, Kate supports and trains new School Food Service Directors in menu planning, culinary training, effective use of USDA foods and DOD Fresh foods, budgeting, and much, much more! Kate brings a variety of hands-on experiences to her position including working as a School Food Service Program Director, creating a farm to school program in the school district utilizing local produce and proteins from local ranchers, developing recipes based on local foods along with Montana Marinara along with preparing fresh, tasty, colorful food. Currently outside of her job as a peer mentor, is working on several art projects integrating Harvest of the Month in museum kids' art programs throughout the state of Montana to bring awareness to all the amazing produce and proteins that Montana raises to feed our 406 kids.
